The bowl features unglazed terracotta walls richly decorated with black transfer-printed figures drawn from Greco-Roman mythology — athletes in motion, draped figures, eagles, griffins, and Roman columns — arranged in two bands separated by white-ground Latin inscriptions. The white-glazed interior carries an elegant acanthus scroll border and Greek key medallion. See less
