The frames retain their original paint, which … Read more This is an amazing pair of French Louis XVI painted and upholstered chairs. The frames retain their original paint, which is off-white and light gray, with just the right amount of wear. The straight legs, round seat, and square back is typical Louis XVI. The fabric is best described as cerise or cherry pink. In the middle of the seat and both the interior and exterior back is a woven rose. Same is found on the arm rests. This is a French fabric of high quality, and the upholstery was done in France as well. Nailheads finish off the details. Very good condition. Normal signs of age may include wear on the paint, light scratches. Fabric is in very good condition. No stains or tears. See less
