At ¾", the seat is so strong that it can safely carry a weight far greater than actually necessary! We have pencil-polished the edges of the circular glass so that it's comfortable to grip.

That glass seating surface is fastened to the standoffs on which it rests with a special high-strength glue that has been infrared treated to even further strengthen it! You can see up close in image # 11.

My own favorite feature of the Stēl chair is the graceful curvature of its two back legs. That's especially apparent in image # 2.

The chair's steel has been sand blasted and powder coated to insure a fine and long-lasting finish.

The Stēl chair is the prototype for a collection that never went into production, so it's unique. If you'd like to have a whole set for your dining table, though, my team can always make more. See less
