An elegant Art Deco desk clock and alarm, crafted in France during the 1930s by the renowned Parisian horologist Charles Hour (C.H.).
The piece features a rectangular brass case, finely adorned with floral motifs using the polychrome cloisonné enamel technique in shades of yellow and black. The oval dial showcases a hand-painted enamel background depicting a pan/faun playing the flute, complemented by classic Roman numerals and black hands. The dial displays a characteristic vintage hairline crack across the painted enamel surface, a detail that attests to its authenticity and historical character.
On the reverse, inside the folding easel stand, it bears the engraved maker's marks "C.H - Depose - 259 - France".

The manufacturer frequently collaborated with France's finest bronze and enamel workshops and supplied movements to prestigious luxury retailers worldwide, including Tiffany & Co. In the 1930s, the firm merged to form the legendary luxury clockmaker Hour Lavigne.
