It is an original English 19th century made example in a desired Regency form. Table is made of most beautiful rich vivid color Rosewood, standing on beautifully inlaid outward curved carved legs, propped on brass castor wheels. Top of the desk features a light brown leather writing surface, crowned with a reticulated bronze gallery. Table has a pair of working drawers on front end, in addition to two matching faux drawers on the reverse. Each drawer, including the faux drawers has a pair of superb quality bronze Lion Head pull handles. It is a "piece of jewelry" as far as the furniture goes, absolutely stunning, purchased in New York City in 1980's for well over $5,000. It is in very good condition, amazing for it's age - please see photos. Size is great for house or the apartment at 34" wide, 21.5" deep across, and 29" in height, while the knee clearance is 23.75" height. This will be a great quality addition to any serious collection, and a jewel in any traditional or mid-century modern setting! See less
