The jar has a beautifully proportioned baluster form with a broad shoulder and slightly tapered foot. The painting displays strong tonal variation and expressive brushwork characteristic of late Qing to early Republic porcelain inspired by earlier Transitional and Kangxi-period wares.

The underside and interior show age-consistent kiln wear, firing marks, glaze irregularities, and accumulated patina indicative of genuine age. The porcelain body is notably heavy and substantial with a refined glaze surface and excellent decorative presence.

Likely dating to the late 19th or early 20th century (circa 1890–1930).
