This is a charming pair of antique French Provincial side chairs featuring beautifully carved crest rails with shell and foliate detailing, shaped ladder backs, handwoven rush seats, and turned stretchers.
Crafted in solid walnut or fruitwood with a rich dark patina and elegant country French proportions. Their sculptural silhouettes and aged character make them a wonderful accent or decorative dining chairs for French country, European farmhouse, or rustic interiors.
Showing authentic age and wear consistent with antique use, including looseness to the frames that may benefit from restoration or tightening. Would bear be used as decorative chairs not meant for daily use unless they are restored or tightened at the joints. Considered in price.
