Hand-decorated porcelain plate with botanical motif from the Flora Danica series, decorated outside the factory, finely executed with gilded rim and highly detailed plant illustration. Origin: Denmark. Material: Porcelain. Dimensions: D. 14.5 cm. Period: Circa 1920. Condition: Excellent condition with minor signs of wear. Third factory quality, cancelled with two incised lines. Royal Copenhagen was founded in 1775 and is one of Denmark’s most renowned porcelain manufacturers. The Flora Danica series was introduced in the late 18th century and is celebrated for its scientifically accurate depictions of Danish flora, based on the botanical work Flora Danica.
