A striking vintage amber glass vanity jar with a chartreuse green molded lid. The base is made from heavy pressed glass with a ribbed, geometric pattern that gives it a very Art Deco look. The warm amber glass and green lid make this a great decorative accent for a vanity, dresser, bathroom shelf, or styled bookshelf.
The lid appears to be an early molded plastic, possibly Bakelite, but it has not been tested, so I am listing it as Bakelite style. The faceted green lid has a beautiful marbled texture and sits neatly on top of the jar.
This piece would work beautifully as a vintage powder jar, jewelry box, trinket dish, vanity container, or small storage jar for cotton rounds, rings, earrings, or keepsakes.
