A mid-century stoneware bowl designed by Marianne Starck for Michael Andersen & Sons, handmade on the island of Bornholm, Denmark. The piece features a geometric carved motif and layered, earth-toned glaze—hallmarks of Starck’s modern Scandinavian sensibility.
Balanced in proportion and tactile in finish, the bowl reflects the studio’s commitment to material integrity and functional beauty. Signed on the base with Starck’s incised “MS” monogram, the three-fish Michael Andersen mark, and stamped “Bornholm.”
