This piece embodies the Couroc claim- “Any tray can serve a drink. Only Couroc can start a conversation.”

Couroc of Monterey, founded in 1948, produced a line of decorative items made of a proprietary phenolic resin material that resembled ebony wood and was water, burn, stain, and detergent resistant. Its unique designs were created by members of Monterey Bay’s famous art colony.
Featuring hand inlaid motifs made of natural materials such as shells, coins, and wood veneers insured that no two items were exactly the same.
