This is a lovely pair of vintage French country ladder back rush seat chairs. Only 2 chairs available. They can be used as dining chairs in a small dining area or eat-in kitchen. Or as accent chairs flanking a console table or wherever you need extra seating.
The chairs are made of solid wood, possibly walnut, with traditional French country carvings, including shelf motifs on the top rail and front apron. Natural woven rush seats. Beautiful cabriole legs united by turned H stretcher. Unsigned but likely made in Europe in the mid-20th century.
The chairs are in very good vintage condition. Sturdy and ready to use, with intact rush seats. Rustic original patina on the wood, including scratches and scuffs from normal use. Please see photos for more details about the condition of the chairs.
Each chair measures 35" tall, 20" wide, 20" deep with a seat height of 18 inches.
