This Really is an Absolutely Beautiful Antique Tea Caddy Box. Circa Mid to Late 19th Century - Approx 1870s. Classic Victorian Style. Origin Most Likely European - Possibly French ?. It is Completely Hand Made with Exceptionally Nice Attention to Detail. It has a Fancy Grained Genuine Rosewood Veneer Exterior. It Also has an Elaborate Assortment of Genuine Abalone Inlay Embellishments Both on the Exterior and Interior Surfaces. The Interior has into 2 Red Cloth lined Divided Tea Compartments with Removable Lids. It Also has 2 Bold - High Relief Repousse Brass Lion Heads with Swing Carry Handles. The Exterior and Interior Still Retain Original Varnish and it Displays Beautifully.! NOTE ( See Last 2 Photographs ) That There is a Strip of Carved Molding Missing on the Back Side Base Area as well as a Small Piece Missing on the Corner of 1 of the Tea Compartment Lids. It Still Retains its Original Locking Mechanism but Note that it Does Not Come With the Key.
