Antique American Victorian style His & Hers chairs, Rococo Revival style made of rosewood. These chairs were popular between 1850 & 1930. Furniture is laminated & pierced carved frame exhibiting an elaborate floral crest, buttoned tufted backrests for comport. This wonderful set of 2 chairs has a dark finish and porcelain wheels. Rococo Revival style usually featured Egyptian revival medallions in the crest. These chairs are in excellent shape. May have a little bit of wear and tear due to their age but nothing significant.
My husband and I bought these chairs from the owner’s daughter when we bought the house. The owner collected antiques and had exquisite taste.
The captains chair height is 15” and the missus chair is 17.5”. Very comfortable chairs if extra seating is needed.
