This gorgeous Pocket Compass was made in France. This charming pocket compass is compact with a simple metal loop for easy holding / carrying, and appears to be made of brass with a glass face. The interior is metal, the markings are legible, and it states "Made in France" by the "W" direction indicator. The exterior of the compass has a golden sheen that has been worn with use, adding to the charm of this fascinating piece which we believe to be from the early 20th century due to the material and design. There is a tiny knob to the E side of the compass that locks / unlocks the interior movement as needed. An incredible addition to any collection of navigation tools or WW1 era memorabilia.
The measurement: height=0.375" diameter=1.5" depth with handle=2" approx.
