Six Dessert Plates
Botanical Series
Circa 1862
Dimensions:9.75"
Rare set of Worcester early period of the botanical series. Made of hard porcelain pottery, hand painted scalloped edge with heavy 22k gold gilt trim and verge. These are the dessert plates that measure a generous size, which is more of a luncheon plate. Set of 6 plates in excellent preowned condition, from the 'early period' 19th century, pattern numbered 7333 1862-1863. Most likely Kerr and Binns before company launched Royal Worcester Porcelain Company.
Worcester Royal Porcelain Works utilizes a specific hybrid method featuring a monochrome transferware outline filled in completely by hand-painted color washed. Gold trim on the edges hand-painted in real 22-karat liquid gold. Arts resemble that of Chamberlain and Curtis botanicals of the Edwardian - Victorian era.
Insured shipping, quick 1-3 business day processing. No chips, no crazing, minimal wear, some discoloration on potters cradle bases.
