The Modernist lithograph prints are published by The Collector's Guild Ltd., New York, N.Y. in association with La Societe De Verification De La Nouvelle Gravure Internationale of New York and Paris. Printed in France in 1972 in an unnumbered limited edition by Maeght Editeur, paris. The fine art prints feature artwork images created by Miro titled " Le Chanteur " ( lithograph XI ) and " L'Etoile Bleu " ( lithograph I ).

The prints are both plate signed in the print by the artist in the lower right front bottom corner. Also, Joan Miro original lithograph is printed on the reverse back side of each print as shown in the photos.

This is a rare opportunity for true Miro and Modernism fans and collectors, as this set of 2 original lithographic prints are long out of print and very scarce to find.

Joan Miro ( 1893 - 1983 ) the Spanish born painter, sculptor, and ceramicist of Jewish descent is considered to be one of the most important Abstract artists of all time. Earning international acclaim, his work has been interpreted as Surrealism , and breaking through boundaries of traditional concepts of the composition of an aesthetic image. He had significant influence on the late 20th Century Abstract Expressionist artists. The artworks of Miro are included in the collections of many of the world's most prestigious museums.

In addition to being a gallery owner and art dealer at the infamous Galerie Maeght in Paris where the greatest international artists of the time exhibited, visionary genius Aime Maeght and his son Adrien also founded Maeght Editeur which is recognized as one of the most important and influential publishers of lithographs, books, and fine art posters n the world, such as this exquisite set of Miro prints.

The rare out of print Mid Century Modernist framed original lithograph prints each measure 14 1/2" W X 17 1/8" H X 7/8" D.

They are custom framed with UV protective plexiglass, archivally presented, hinge mounted with an acid free conservation soft white matt board presentation in a Contemporary Modern matte eggshell finish black wood frame molding, with an attached hanging wire on the reverse back side for easy wall installation.

The set is in excellent " like new " condition. The prints are in excellent " like new " clean vintage condition consistent with age, very light signs of handling, and very light minor wear. They are brand newly custom framed and have never been displayed. Please see photos for condition reference. The set is now being offered here for an excellent price.
