This is a stunning example of antique Austrian Art Nouveau (Jugendstil) porcelain, dating to the late 19th or early 20th century (circa 1900). Standing 8.5 inches tall, the vase features a globular body transitioning into an exquisite reticulated (pierced) neck and is flanked by two ornate, gold-gilt "whiplash" handles characteristic of the period.
Design & Details
Artistry: The body is decorated with hand-painted, multi-colored chrysanthemums in shades of orange, purple, and yellow, accented with raised enamel and delicate gold-leaf veining.
Form: A classic Amphora silhouette featuring a "honeycomb" reticulated neck that demonstrates high-level craftsmanship.
Finish: A matte ivory "tapestry" glaze finish on the body, contrasted by a soft sage green and cream gradient on the neck and base.
Condition: Good antique condition with no chips or cracks. Has wear consistent with age as pictured.
