This is a Very Large Size Antique Country French Pottery Water Jug. Circa Approx Mid 19th Century. It Measures Overall Approx 17 1/2 inches Tall x 14 inches Long x 12 3/4 inches Wide. Completely Hand Made - it is Rendered in Classic Ovoid Form with a Fancy Double Ring Applied Handle. Based on its Size I would Estimate it to have a Liquid Storage Capacity of Approx 2 to 3 Gallons. It has a Wonderful Thick Glossy Drip Glaze with Absolutely Stunning Color Variations. It is in Excellent Condition with No Cracks - No Repairs - Displays Beautifully.

PLEASE DO NOTE THAT AT SOME POINT IN THE PAST IT WAS USED AS A ELECTRIC TABLE LAMP BASE AND IT HAD 2 HOLES DRILLED - 1 ON THE BOTTOM & 1 AT THE LOWER BASE PERIMETER AREA - THESE CAN BEST BE SEEN IN THE LAST - 18TH PHOTOGRAPH IN THE LISTING.
