These early 20th century pair of Oaxacan Majolica decorative bowls consist of terra cotta with an attractive abstract design within … Read more These early 20th century pair of Oaxacan Majolica decorative bowls consist of terra cotta with an attractive abstract design within a color palette of aqua, dark chocolate brown and off-white. The interior has swashes of aqua and brown brush strokes rimming the interior with the center being a simple brown circle. Throughout each piece the interior has a craquelure finish due to age and natural unglazed spots allowing the terra cotta pottery to peek through. (Possibly caused by a technique to hold the vessel while forming.) These could be perfectly styled in a Southwest, Rustic or Mediterranean home interiors. I hope you'll make these "keepers" in your home.
