When I go to design a piece, I always start with ergonomics, as was the case here. The angles and dimensions are predicated upon providing comfort.

In the case of the painted wood Vivo chair, I opted for an olive green for the seating surfaces and black for the arm/legs. Olive is a bit warmer than most greens. I used bright pink to highlight the wooden standoffs that float the seating surfaces between the arm/legs. See less
