Patented in 1883, Amberina is a celebrated Victorian-era glass known for its dramatic "shaded" effect, where the glass transitions from a deep ruby red at the top to a warm honey-amber at the base. In the late 19th century, celery was a status symbol, and vases like this were the "must-have" centerpiece for a formal dining table.
