An exceptional Howard Miller Presidential Collection grandfather clock featuring an ornate swan-neck bonnet, richly figured mahogany cabinetry, and a premium German Kieninger triple-chime movement. This heirloom-quality floor clock represents one of Howard Miller’s higher-end traditional offerings, combining refined craftsmanship with impressive mechanical presence.
The case showcases elegant fluted columns, detailed carved accents, raised panel construction, and a beautifully finished bonnet crowned with a turned finial. The warm mahogany finish pairs elegantly with the highly detailed Presidential moonphase dial, which features applied Arabic numerals, elaborate corner spandrels, engraved center filigree, and polished brass detailing throughout.
The cable-driven German movement plays three selectable melodies:
Westminster
Whittington
St. Michael
A convenient silent/night shutoff feature allows the chimes to be muted during evening hours.
Behind the beveled glass lower door hangs a polished brass lyre pendulum accompanied by matching brass weights and brass chime rods, producing a rich and resonant tonal quality associated with higher-grade grandfather clocks.
