Italian antique inlaid wooden desk, mid-1800s
A desk made entirely of wood with a dark ebonized finish, enhanced by refined inlaid decorations in lighter shades along the top and drawer fronts. The rectangular top is large and slightly contoured at the edges, with a smooth surface embellished with subtle yet sophisticated ornamental motifs. Below the top is a band with three drawer fronts that reveal natural wood interiors. The frame is supported by slender, turned legs, joined by curved connecting elements. Napoleon III style.
Mid-1800s.
Good condition, with minor scuffs. Restored.
