Originally conceived in 1918 and later refined with its now signature color scheme, this chair embodies the principles of the De Stijl movement, where form, color, and structure are reduced to their purest elements. Defined by its architectural composition, the chair features a striking interplay of geometric planes and linear framework. The bold red backrest and vivid blue seat contrast dramatically against the black frame, while yellow accents punctuate the ends of each component, emphasizing its modular construction. Every line and intersection is intentional, creating a harmonious balance between abstraction and functionality.
