An authentic Kartell Louis Ghost Armchair by Philippe Starck — confirmed via molded maker's marks on the underside. One of the most recognizable furniture designs of the 21st century, and a piece that belongs in the same conversation as the Eames shell chair and the Panton S — design that changed what a chair could be.
Introduced in 2002, the Louis Ghost reinterprets the Louis XV armchair as a single-pour injection-molded polycarbonate (Lucite) shell — no joints, no assembly, completely transparent. Now part of the permanent collections at MoMA, the V&A, and the Cooper Hewitt.
Structurally sound, no cracks or stress fractures. Seat surface shows light scratching from normal use, visible under direct light — disclosed honestly.
