The frames retain their original painted finish, executed in layered tones of soft cream with pale blue accents. The blue detailing is subtly integrated within the fluted legs, seat rail, and as a fine linear accent along the back frames, adding depth and contrast while maintaining a light, balanced palette. The finish shows gentle variation and wear consistent with age, preserving character without feeling overly distressed. The design is clean and architectural, with square backs, fluted tapered legs, and crisply carved rosettes set within structured corner blocks. A gently curved seat rail and subtly shaped back soften the otherwise tailored Louis XVI silhouette, giving the chairs a more refined and comfortable presence. The chairs retain their existing upholstery in a small-scale gingham pattern in soft blue-grey and cream. The tone closely relates to the pale blue accents within the frames, creating a cohesive and considered palette.
