Beautiful, large lavender purple embossed butterfly vase bottle made by Blenko Art Glass Company in 2006 exclusively for the members … Read more Beautiful, large lavender purple embossed butterfly vase bottle made by Blenko Art Glass Company in 2006 exclusively for the members of the Blenko Collector's Society, therefore, this is a rare limited production vase. Blenko used the mold from the butterfly decanter, catalogue item #6527 designed by Joel Philip Myers in 1965. This was designed as a vase, as the inside is not ground for a stopper and the top is flared out more than the decanter version. This bottle vase is signed with the etched/sandblasted signature, "Blenko 2006 Collector's Society" and has the cellophane sticker still attached. Light scratches on the bottom, but none on the vase. Art glass will have random air bubbles, debris, folds, and minor "imperfections" from the handmade process. There are some folds/swirling, an air bubble towards the bottom edge, and a glass tag on the pontil. Please see close up photos for examples. less
