There is hardly any difference between the two, often the opaline glass is more pure and more white. The biggest difference, however, is the price, a Bentley versus a dependable SUV. This opaline bottle is highly prized, to the extent that a metalsmith embellished it in a silver tone metal which encased the whole body. On flattened globular body, two realistic lions are placed on the shoulders, joined by bands of silver which covers the neck and the entire base. On the front and back and running down from the lions are dragons, all four of them. Butterflies are added to the decorative bands. It is a very pretty bottle and full of symbolism. Dragons are symbols of power and magic, lions represent military might and butterflies are beautiful and bring good luck. It is matched with a brown agate stopper encased in the same silver material and a spoon. See less
