This ornate commode has a bombe case with floral marquetry inlay, gilt metal mounts, shaped drawer fronts, cabriole legs, and a black marble top. The drawer fronts and side panels display scrolling botanical motifs with decorative border trim and metal pulls. The marble top has a shaped profile and visible veining throughout. The black marble top was cracked and repaired, with visible repair lines, filler, surface scratches, small chips, and edge wear. The gilt metal mounts show patina, oxidation, and wear consistent with age. It is in good condition with visible and minimal wear from usage. See less
