Organic freeform hand-blown bowl in red sommerso glass with trapped air-bubble pattern (bullicante), typical of Italian Murano glass production. Origin: Italy, Murano. Material: mouth-blown glass. Dimensions: H. 6 cm, D. 14,2 cm. Period: 1960s/70s. Condition: Very good condition with minor signs of age. Murano glass of the 1960s and 70s was characterised by bold colours and organic sculptural forms, often using sommerso and bullicante techniques where air bubbles are trapped within the glass. Created by master glassblowers on Murano Island, these works are now highly collectible. See less
