A rare pair of French Provincial side chairs by the esteemed firm Jacques Bodart. These chairs feature a sophisticated "reveal" design: the front-facing cane is hand-painted with a vibrant yellow diamond trellis pattern, intended to peek out from behind the tufted back cushions.
The frames are finished in a creamy antique white, elegantly accented with vivid yellow pinstripe trim that follows the curves of the scalloped aprons and cabriole legs. The reverse of the chairs features beautifully aged natural woven cane, making them attractive from every angle.
This is a premium restoration opportunity. The custom-painted cane on the front makes these a unique find for a high-end interior project.
