Structurally revised in our workshop and finished with a fresh wax, the table presents a solid, stable construction with a warm, revived surface that highlights the natural depth of the oak. The piece features a rectangular top framed by a carved border, set above a single frieze drawer with hand-carved foliate motifs and its original metal pull. The base is defined by classic Louis XIII elements, including turned barley twist legs joined by an H-form stretcher with bold, sculptural turning and carved rosette blocks at each corner. The proportions are compact and versatile, making it well suited as a writing table, side table, or console. Constructed from solid oak, the table retains a rich, naturally aged patina with visible grain movement and character across the top. Subtle tonal variation and light wear are consistent with age and use.
