Distinctive and richly detailed, this Maitland-Smith attributed coffee table blends neoclassical and campaign-inspired design elements with the exotic character the maker became known for. The round form features a beveled glass inset top framed by tooled leather accents and warm faux tortoiseshell bamboo-style supports.
The sculptural base is particularly striking, showcasing elegant scroll details, intricate stretcher work, decorative brass finials, and dramatic brass claw feet that give the table a refined yet bold presence. The open base design allows the craftsmanship to be appreciated from every angle, making it equally beautiful as a centerpiece in a living room or conversation area.
A sophisticated statement piece that works beautifully in traditional, Hollywood Regency, eclectic, or British Colonial-inspired interiors.
