Beautiful 7.75 inch studio pottery bowl by American pottery Ginny Marsh. Ginny now resides in Texas, and this bowl was found at a Texas estate. It is a beautiful example of her work, which has been featured in many gallery exhibitions, museums, and publications. She received a masters in fine art and still creates pottery to this day while teaching the craft to the next generation of potters.
What I love about this piece, beyond the stunning glaze, is the slight textured detail of the swirl in the center of the bowl.
This is a lovely size to be displayed on a stack of books on a coffee table or by the door as a catchall. It would make a wonderful addition to a studio pottery collection. It has beauty at all elevations and is just as lovely on a shelf as it is a credenza or table.
