Structurally revised in our workshop, each chair has been reinforced, cleaned, and refreshed while preserving its original painted finish, and newly upholstered in a bold blue and off-white striped fabric, finished with double piping on the bias along the crest and a welt band trim at the seat. Solid and stable. Each chair features an oval back with a molded frame, fluted tapering legs, and carved rosette blocks at the corners - classic elements of the Louis XVI canon. The frames are finished in a soft cream paint with a naturally aged patina, showing light surface wear and subtle craquelure consistent with age. The carved details remain crisp, and the overall presentation feels clean and cohesive. The contrast between the classic painted frame and the graphic stripe gives the pair a fresh, tailored look - well suited for dining, desk seating, or as accent chairs within both traditional and transitional interiors.
