Antique early 20th century arched picture frame produced by the Chicago Portrait Company, a well-known mail-order portrait and frame manufacturer active in the early 1900s.
The frame features a wood structure with applied plaster or composition and paint, including floral and scroll details along the arched crest and sides. The original convex glass is present.
Manufacturer markings and patent information are visible on the reverse.
The arched form makes this suitable for display as a traditional portrait frame or as a decorative empty frame in a gallery wall arrangement.
