An elegant and finely detailed pair of antique Victorian-era face screens, dating to the mid-19th century and discovered in France.

Each screen is beautifully crafted in papier-mâché with a graceful serpentine, scalloped form. The surfaces are richly decorated with intricate hand-painted floral bouquets, enhanced by shimmering mother-of-pearl inlays that add depth and luminosity. Subtle gold gilt accents further elevate their refined decorative appeal.

The screens are fitted with sturdy blackened wooden handles, securely attached with original screws, reflecting both quality craftsmanship and authenticity.
