A gilt bronze photograph frame, decorated with figurative motifs in the Romantic style of the late 19th century. The mount consists of a beaded oval cartouche surmounted by a stylized drapery motif and flanked by a winged cherub holding a garland or ribbon.
The richly decorated base depicts a stylized boat sailing on waves, embellished with floral motifs and scrolling foliage. The frame rests on four undulating feet with Rococo decoration.
French work, late 19th century.
