Superb rectangular gilt bronze frame mounted on two cabriole feet with a rear support. The back is fitted with glass.
The front is richly chased with Rococo motifs: scrolls, acanthus leaves, and garlands. An openwork pediment forms a kind of coat of arms at the top, decorated with flowers and a small putto (angel) mask. The side panels feature female busts in relief surrounded by scrolls. The lower rail is adorned with a mascaron of a satyr or Bacchus flanked by wings, a common symbol in Rococo iconography.
