Its wide, shallow circular form was originally intended as a centerpiece or fruit bowl, combining practical domestic use with understated sculptural presence. Made from ceramic with a white glazed ground, the bowl is overlaid with an iridescent lustre finish that shifts subtly in changing light, creating a soft pearlescent, almost holographic effect across the surface. The restrained form and clean profile reflect the enduring appeal of Art Deco tableware, where elegant proportion and material finish carry the design. The bowl retains its original Arcadian backstamp to the underside.
