The form is low and of medium club size, with a distinctly lounge-oriented character. The notably reclined backrest reflects the comfort-driven design approach of the period.
The construction has undergone a complete restoration. The seat springs have been traditionally re-tied, with the original webbing preserved. A significant portion of the original African stuffing has been retained and carefully supplemented, ensuring authentic seating comfort and proper structural support.
The removable back cushion is a key feature, both functionally and visually, softening the otherwise solid, sculptural mass of the chair. The upholstery is executed in a premium, high-weight, wool-based Minotti tapestry textile, featuring a rich, boucle-like texture. Its nuanced composition of rust, ochre, and burnt orange tones is harmoniously paired with the velvet back cushions, emphasizing the chair’s sculptural presence.
