Beautiful condition, keeping in mind that this is vintage and not new so will have signs of use and wear even if it has been refinished or restored. Specifically, it has an all-over patina that could include nicks, scratches, and wear as you would expect from a vintage piece. This BABY GOT BACK!!! A wonderful WINGBACK, that is!!! LOL!!! This is a marvelous vintage high or tall wingback, fireside, or accent chair composed of a gorgeous oak frame with straight turned front legs, horizontal AND vertical stretchers, and slightly splayed back legs that extend up into the INCREDIBLE wingback. Some call that feature an “ear flap” but I don’t think that term sounds as attractive as this lovely chair deserves! The crown of the back bears a scalloped or wave-like decorative curve and the seat back has a slight ergonomic lean exuding a STUNNING silhouette that surprisingly… is VERY comfortable!! The chair is upholstered in an absolutely beautiful gold and beige striped fabric on the front AND the backside of the tall back, the “ear flaps,” the armrests, the lower seat, AND the loose wool fiber filled seat cushion with button detail. And the vertical front of arms bear a lovely turned detail while the horizontal tops are straight wearing comfy upholstered armrests. WOW!!! It would float beautifully in ANY room but would be particularly lovely facing the fireplace in a study, in a corner of your bedroom or sitting room, in your dressing area, or at the entry for a fabulous spot to sit and remove your shoes. And it will pair nicely with styles including Colonial, French Country, Traditional, and many more!! This is it folks… the wonderful wingback chair you have been looking for!
