Early to mid 19th century blue canton well and tree platter made in China for the US or English trade. Traditional canton design with bridge over river, sailing junk, pagodas and hilled landscape with double diapered border.
Not only is this piece quite lovely, it is also very useful as it is the perfect size for a roasted chicken or standing rib roast or the like…… generally well and tree platters are considerably larger.
