It is nice to find a large cabbage leaf piece to add to your collection of tableware. This is functional as well as decorative. This piece is aging nicely and is starting to have the character of a time worn piece. The older pieces such as this have color nuances in the glaze that add to it's richness.
Bordallo Pinheiro has been making cabbageware in the majolica since 1884.
This is an authentic vintage piece. This platter bears the vintage mark which is incised/pressed into the clay and not printed/stamped as the new production models are.
Hand wash only.
