The frame is forged in gilt … Read more An Italian wall-mounted console from the 1950s, in the manner of Pier Luigi Colli. The frame is forged in gilt iron, its scrolling supports worked into symmetrical curves. The surface carries a timeworn patina, the gilding catching light across raised edges and softened recesses. Above, a thick glass top rests with a subtle bevel, bordered by a pierced gilt apron that echoes the ironwork below. Modest in scale, the piece fits seamlessly in a hallway or entry. Condition: Great vintage condition. The gilt iron frame shows surface wear, light oxidation, and patina throughout, consistent with age and use. The glass top is in excellent condition with only minor surface scratches. Two holes along the back edge allow the piece to be screwed directly into the wall for secure mounting. See less
