An Art Deco armchair from the 1920s, produced by Pancota Vienna for Thonet. Crafted in bent beechwood, the frame curves in bold architectural lines, its sweeping arms forming circular loops that cradle the seat. The reclining mechanism allows for adjustability, a functional innovation integrated seamlessly into the form. Upholstered in its original patterned green fabric, the generous cushions emphasize comfort and invite relaxation.

Michael Thonet pioneered the techniques of steam-bending both solid and laminated beechwood, innovations that reshaped furniture making in the 19th and 20th centuries.
