This monumental vase measures approximately 18 inches tall by 14 inches wide, and features an exuberant Rococo Revival form with a rich cobalt blue ground, extensive hand-applied gilding, and a finely executed hand-painted floral cartouche depicting roses and mixed blossoms in soft pastel tones.


The vase is further embellished with:

• Elaborate pierced and scrolled rim

• Applied scroll handles with pink floral accents

• Raised and molded decorative elements

• Hand-laid gold striping throughout


The rear shows the characteristic pale porcelain body and hand-gilded vertical accents, typical of high-end Bohemian export pieces of this period, with emphasis placed on the richly decorated presentation side.


Marks

• Impressed “184” mold/shape number

• Handwritten blue “183”, consistent with period decorator or batch numbering

These are not dates and are typical of late 19th-century Continental factories.
