A Beautiful Pair of antique solid silver "Grotto" style Rococo Revival master table salt cellars, Hannau, Germany, circa 1890.
These very elegant cellars have a putti figure riding atop a dolphin, the bowl to the top modeled as a shell, each bowl retains their original scalloped glass liners. The stems modeled as a dolphin with their tails holding the bowl, below a putti is riding the dolphin and is raised on a corresponding inverted shell.
Both salts are stamped with German hallmarks, 800 grade silver and stamped "Germany"
Condition is excellent, this beautiful pair of salts would add an enchanting touch to your next dinner party or table setting.
