Beautiful vintage Italian ceramic lidded box featuring a sculptural grapevine handle with leaves and clustered fruit in warm gilt against a matte black ground. The contrast is especially striking, with the raised details catching light and giving the piece great depth and texture. Made in the mid to late 20th century and marked “Italy V109” on the underside. The rounded form and low profile make it an easy piece to style—perfect as a decorative box on a coffee table, console, or stacked books, or used as a catchall for small items.
